There are so many factors to contemplate. This was the overriding topic for me rather than the romance (I did love the romance side of it too though). But if someone killed my child in a drink driving accident, I'm not sure I could forgive them. Should one mistake determine and define the rest of our lives? Can it be so huge that it taints everything? If my child killed someone in a drunk driving accident, I'd be devastated for them. Does she deserve to? Can she be forgiven? Can she forgive herself? Is she villain or victim? 'It proves that time, distance, and devastation allow people enough opportunity to craft villains out of people they don’t even know.' This story to me was about redemption and forgiveness. Now she's out, she wants to be a part of her daughter's life. She goes to jail, has his baby and it goes to his parents. The main character kills her boyfriend in a drunk driving incident. Kenna must find a way to absolve the mistakes of her past in order to build a future out of hope and healing.Īn interesting story with some very strong topics in the forefront. The two form a connection despite the pressure surrounding them, but as their romance grows, so does the risk. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.
